HOME MUSEUM

The house-museum Oswaldo Viteri collects one of the most splendid private collections of Ecuadorian art and also includes works by important artists from other latitudes. It has been built over the years and has participated, as it does today, in the artist's family life. It includes in a very eclectic and multifaceted way all the interests of Viteri, starting from pre-Columbian, colonial and republican art, as well as popular and modern art, all in dialogue with architecture, furniture and landscape. The house is also the work of the artist and, although today it is located in an industrial area, the great view from the interior towards the Pichincha volcano, affirms the eminently Andean environment that defines a large part of his work. Also, there is his workshop that shows the richness of his plastic production, as well as his permanent dialogue with the collection.
